Short URL & tracking

A long-awaited new feature is now available in all SMSAlert packages and can be enabled by default on ON from each user’s settings panel or on demand when making a request to the API via the optional “autoShortUrl” parameter.

Short URL helps you to significantly reduce the size of SMS messages sent and track the number of clicks made by the user, and then the functionality will be extended with a detailed analysis of which users clicked on the link, so that you can send relevant and effective SMS messages.

For example, if we activate the automatic URL shortening option, the address below becomes a short address of over 400 characters with only 19-22 characters (standard for any link).
